Gary Goes Where It Grows!
It has been said that Gary goes where it grows, where no other person would venture! That’s why we know that what Young Living has cannot be questioned.
I know Ethiopian papyrifera. How do I know? Who took that picture? Well, I’m not sure, it might have been John Whetten because he was with me, and we were both taking pictures. But I have stood on that spot viewing this particular frankincense species.
Then I went into the forbidden zone of central Yemen and was told that I was the first foreigner to go in there in 40 years. I toured the Homhil Plateau of Socotra Island, home of seven species of frankincense trees that grow nowhere else in the world. Socotra island is where our sweet myrrh is coming from now. Why? Because I went there twice to find it and make arrangements with the people for gathering and shipping it. Here is a photo of me with guides viewing a myrrh tree in Yemen.
I followed the frankincense trail beginning in the Al-Hasik Mountains of Oman, searching for Boswellia sacra, Sacred Frankincense, all the way through Oman, Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and Israel.
